Outdoor Learning February 2023
Bugs hotels and a wild flower garden
We had a lot of fun on Thursday 9th February.
To start with we went on a hunt for twigs, leaves and other yummy things bugs might like in their hotels.
When we got back to class, we worked together using the amazing resources brought in from home to make some exciting bug hotels. Placing these around our outdoor learning area and in our wild flower garden to encourage bugs to rest.
After making our hotels we walked to the raised flower beds outside the office - which had been carefully weeding for us by Voyager class. Mrs Powell had bought lots of wild flower seeds and some special bee bombs. We dug some holes and then scattered the seeds and bee bombs over the whole area. Fingers crossed there will be some lovely flowers for the bees and other bugs to enjoy, as well as being very pretty for us to look at.
